Growing up, I watched my dad fill bookcase after bookcase with an eclectic mix of science fiction, fantasy, mystery, gardening and art books. The bookcases started literally right outside my bedroom door, meaning I walked by thousands of books every day of my childhood.

When I graduated college, him and I opened a used bookstore. Unfortunately we opened it a few months before the launch of the Kindle and the continued domination of Amazon.

Despite the bookstore not surviving, my love of reading always has.

I also like to run too much and watch too much soccer. I follow the United States National Teams through the good (the women’s team) and the bad (the men’s team). I also support Arsenal in the EPL and New Mexico United in the USL Championship.
